A City on Fire and a Global Panic
When the homes at Los Angeles burned, the world watched in ‘Horror’. It was as if like a ‘Hollywood Panic Movie’ unfolding in real and everyone are just HELPLESS. It rang the Alarm Bells worldwide.
Souring flames, Orange Skies, Blistering heat, Flying sparks everywhere and all around and rain of Ash, this is what the scenarios when everyone, one-after-another, started fleeing the engulfing fires at midnight, grabbing only the few memories and with heavy hearts. An emergency situation was created at midnight and people had to get up from their sleeps and flee. Evacuations continued day and night. People were anxious, stressed, crying, emotional and it was just ‘hell broke free’.
What began as a flicker of flame soon spiraled into a merciless inferno, devouring everything in its path: homes, forests and especially dreams. Land of Hollywood and the city of Stars is charred and stood in dismay and silence.
Those houses were not just properties but ‘Sweet Homes’ for few, ‘Dreams’ for few, ‘Cherished Memories’ for few and ‘Whole Life’s work’ for few, which was burnt to ground completely, when they returned back to look at, they watched with tears in eyes and hearts filled with grief.
LA took the brunt of Climate Change. Climate change is no longer a distant threat. It’s here, and it’s angry. The LA wildfires were not just natural disasters; they were loud, fiery warnings. If we don’t listen now, what’s left to burn?
Nature is ringing the ALARM BELLS. There’s no more extra time to spare. Nature’s already declared the war. This war is not between nations, it is between nature and survival.
Now we are in —– “Climate Emergency”.
